Presenting. . . Zine 📔
Happy summer everyone! This one was an especially challenging one, so thank you to everyone who participated in this month’s collage! A reminder: If there are themes you’d be excited to collage, please submit your prompts here.
And now, here are the wonderful Zine collages!
Zine by Christine Lynn Trigg

This is a cautionary tale about moving to the big city; it's so seductive. But my sister and son say the city looks like too much fun and they never would have left! --Unlike our country pumpkin in his canoe with his dog Gwen

“30” by Hannah Seo

Cheating this month by submitting a slightly old collage zine, which I made a few months ago when I turned 30. It was my first proper zine and I’m pretty proud of it! Everything except the handwriting is totally collaged, and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out what story I was trying to tell with each page. I think more zines are in my future.
“Feels like home” and “The key to my heart” by Gabriela Dorantes

And that’s it for our June collages!
Next up is our July theme, Censorship, the works for which we will reveal on August 15! You still have two weeks (okay, let’s be real, a whole month) to submit — please remember to share your creations with us via email at a.hannah.seo@gmail.com.
Be sure to include a photo of your artwork, a title, and (optional) a short description of the piece and/or your process. If you have a preferred name that you’d like us to attribute your artwork to, please let us know that as well!
We’ll see you on August 1st with a whole new prompt. Happy collaging!

I feel like I'm seeing zines everywhere! Loving this communal art practice.
